We are members of the Scarborough Children's University network. Local schools issue 'passports' to students to encourage them into extra-curricular learning. We have a 'Maritime Trail' quiz that takes about an hour to fill out. Children will learn about some of the history of Scarborough after which they will gain a learning credit and stamp in their passports. When students have gained 30 hours of learning they can attend a graduation ceremony and certificate at the Spa. Parents report that their children gain confidence and new skills from partaking in the scheme.
